Neversink River

Neversink River

This was an unexpected image. The contrast range was only 2-3 stops so I decided I would be extending my development, but for some reason, in my notes I see was overexposing the acros. I exposed for the tree and interestingly enough the scene still held plenty of detail even with the extended development. There was a fog on the river which adds to the glow in the background. Overall I think its a nice effect.

By the way...anyone have any suggestions for calculating Normal development times? The thing is, I am without a darkroom at the moment, so I am unable to make prints. Any suggestions are always appreciated!

Very interesting! I'm not really sure what I'm looking at, which adds to the interest.. Gorgeous tones, especially in the background fog. Nice!

Nice design and texture. When you eventually are able to print, will you tone this (and other prints as well)? As to Normal development times, check out http://barrythornton.com/ and click on "technique".

Thank you for all for the comments. John, thank you for the link! I think that light toning would serve the images well and I intend to experiment when I have things up and running.
