I like your rendition of that cool scene.... it's not so easy to capture the subtle strata in those generally low-contrast mountains. Reminds me of Hwy 93 north of Las Vegas, south of Caliente. Nevada is jam-packed with great scenery, though appreciation for it seems rather low. Thanks.
Looks like the Sheep Range on Hwy 95 north of Las Vegas. I confess I've been here too long and am guilty of not seeing the forest because of the trees, or in our case, not seeing the desert because of the rocks.
Lovely image btw. Astonishing what a Leica can mtf onto a piece of inch by inch and a half film.
I drove to Nevada to personally pick up some old film I bought from Jim (above) the Sage of Tonopah, 2 years ago, I had a lot of equipment with me and took a lot of shots on the round trip there from Texas.
I drove by, probably, a 1000 places like the one pictured here and never bother to stop to see if it would be a good shot.
I feel like a big idiot, dumb!
On my next trip, I will take a copy of your photo to remind myself the it is all in the Eyes!
Thanks a lot
Thanks for the comments, I appreciate it. I finally went down to my truck and got my paper map and retraced my trip. I’m pretty sure it’s on the stretch of 93 between Caliente and the 93/375 junction. Lol, I've got a few more images on that roll that I'm not sure exactly where I took them. I am really enjoying the Leica and am really impressed with the little Elmar. Also Nevada certainly has some beautiful country, definitely need to spend more time there.
