Neptune's tricycle

Neptune's tricycle

A found object, posed in a new location. It's rare that I do this, but the object was too cool.

I wish I hadn't thrown it back into the depths - having inspected the negatives there are a few things I would liked to have improved on.

Absolutely brilliant! That is just superb texture. It looks like it spent a few years on the Flying Dutchman! If you had not mentioned it was placed, it still looks in place like it was brought there by the tide. Well done.

Wonderful presence to this shot, the lovely toning and contrast just make the shot sparkle. Three stars for sure.

I had originally called it something like "Davey Jones' trike" but Eric Rose set me straight by calling it "Trident's tricycle" at a meeting. I like the sea gods better than the pirate legends so that's the new name. Well, Neptune just so as I don't totally pirate Eric.

This is also from when I was still getting used to the view camera, and I tended to overdo the movements. I probably should have used less front swing to keep the edge of the front tire in focus - the focal plane sits just behind it on a diagonal as you can see from the background rocks.
