Yet I can see why you framed it this way and I like it. You'd have to have a wider angle lens I think to get mo'bettah water, or find a different part of the vista... that may or may not be there, or just be less of a tree top lover.
 
Really really really like the way the green trees are full here in all their glory and then the fallen-leaf trees in front preceded by the water. Early snow? Just a really great shot, btw. And the 15 seconds is just right.
 
Good picture, reflections as the main element of interest, law of 2/3 applied, pleasure for the eyes of the beholder.
 
I think this shot would look better in portrait format than landscape, as it would draw more attention to the real and reflected.
