so thought I would drive around yesterday morning, thought this would be a good fit for the Texas Church Project. A little windy, no clouds, but still fun.
Nice to see something from you, Mike! Hope to see more! Looks like you were as close as you could get and still get the whole church in the scene. Did you get closer?
Thanks Guys..appreciate the comments. Jeanette, did not get closer as I would have ended up in the middle of the crossroads and there was something going on - lots of folks started showing up.
Bruce/TEX - it is tight, but wanted to isolate the building and there was some distracting signs/structures on either side.
TEX - you nailed the shadow, it was one of the elements that helped 'make the image', without it there was too much at the bottom - with it included, it seemed to help the overall photo.
Matt, without the "shingled" steeple, not sure it would have been as interesting - it added nice layer of texture.
I keep coming back to this Mike.
We've talked about the somewhat "redundant" feeling of continuing to shoot churches, w/regards to the Church project, and while at first this seems just another standard shot, it seems very different and unique at the same time.
