Beautiful landscape, and beautifully shot -- absolutely love the light catching the rising white steam.

I bet this print must look smashing, in person!
 
Great image Andrew! I've been here a few times but never got a photo that I really liked of this location. That said, I was able to fly over the crater when I lived in Kumamoto (helicopter ride gifted to us new teachers by the president of my university at the time, which has an airport campus). That was as close as I could get to the crater for a while, since it was pretty active for the remaining time I lived there. Will have to go back whenever I can make it back down to Kyushu.
