Lighting is beautiful ( single source?) How was the background lit? Toning? it's not a print, so how do we know ? Framing is fine , may be a bit lower to see her hands in the pockets and to get frame just above her head to fill it up a bit ...Love the depth of field you decided on here

Other then that, you have a beautiful wife and it's a shame if you dont' do more work togehter...

I think this portrait is quite successful. The lady is beautiful and she is presented so here. the deep rich tonal scale is great. the framing is quite nice and is intimate .... in short great work and you should do more ...

This portrait is one of those shots that grabs me... I first had some discomfort with the framing and tried cropping the image a bit but I believe I like how you've done it better. The reference point of the doorway or whatever she is leaning on seemed at first to just add clutter but the image is strong enough and her natural beauty combined with the lighting draws one past this and into the image. Your framing makes the portrait more intriguing after looking at alternatives, in my estimation. Nice work!

This is a striking portrait, and the dark line to the left of the frame adds a kind of tension that I think works very well... wouldn't be as strong a portrait without it, I think, even though it seems a distraction. Light on the face is perfect. Nice work.

If the picture was mine, I would crop some off the top and the right hand side.
P.S Your wife is a very handsome woman.

Terrific face for portraiture, you will have to do more. I like your framing and the "Karsh" like lighting really suits her strong features.

So let me be somewhat critical, in contrast to our friends above!
Though this beautiful lady obviously has a very attractive mouth and lips, in this picture the lighting makes her left upper lip looks somewhat exaggerated (with exaggeration, as if someone had hit her on her left upper lip); there is some light (half moon shaped) under her left eye that seems a little bit hard to explain; the very sharp texture in her coat makes it look a little bit like commercial pictures for this kind of coats, a fashion picture. Otherwise a nice picture of a nice looking lady!

I would have done a soft box fill flash from the upper left to soften her face a bit from the stark shadows but other than that it is a good shot of a beautiful woman, wonderful portrait.

Beautiful light, and a lovely, thoughtful expression; one of the nicest portraits I've seen this week!
