My son

This is my first portrait of him with collodion. It was a little late in the day and I increased development so I could keep the exposure down to 4sec but he still moved. Look how intense he is looking at the turtle ball on the camera LOL!
sorry for the crappy scan

I have some wet plate of my kids as well. Its a fine balance between being mean for your art and asking politely!!! I still love it. Wished I still lived in Bandera so we could swap wet plate stories.

Well done!

It would be great if you were still around here. I'd love to see some of those biggins! I've read your story about having to leave because of the cedar. You are REALLY glad you're not here this year...wooooweeee. I grew up in Dallas and never had allergies. I'm not as bad as some but I can't say I'm not allergic. 'Something' definitely bothers the senses. According to some study, Austin was ranked #1 in the country for allergies. Anyway, I'll soon be trying my hand at 8X10 and 11X14 plates. If you ever back around give me a shout.
