My Son

This is a print on the ADOX/Fotoimpex MCC test paper. Very nice!! I found the paper faster than the Oriental Wt., and love the white base. It's a bit curly when I pulled it out of the box, but dried nice and flat.

Exposure: "not quite enough!"

I disagree, it looks good to me and shadow values don't detract from the catch lights in the eye. Very nicely done. Oh, cute guy as well. Nice one. tim

thank you, both... actually, Tim it's probably a little underdeveloped rather than underexposed. I diluted the developer more than I should have by mistake, so this neg (and a few others) are thinner than most of my other negs, but not impossible to work with.

Great shot..love the tone in the facial shadows and the catchlight in his left eye..really brings it alive.

I really like the shot as well. I think the exposure was spot on...at least it works for me. I'm surprised it isn't in this months shooting assignment.

For my taste the exposure is right on---but my comment isn't really about the exposure--it's about the image itself--- It's a terrific image to my untrained eye--actually I don't think you could have much better --maybe a different image but "better"--no way!--to my simple mind it's a perfect image in every respect --how can you improve upon that!! The shallow DOF works so well here and composition is perfect! A very handsome and precious subject as well-- You should be very proud of the image and even more of your son!!

Great capture. The catchlight in the eye works very well and the out of focus bright background gives an almost angelic highlight.
