A museum in Lincoln Park, Chicago, Ill. Unfortunately, I do not recall exactly what the museum was. Note the tiny squirrel out on the pathway, at left. The photo was taken in September of 1982.
It looks like the Elk's national headquarters. I can't figure out the location you took it from butI'm going to enjoy looking for it. Maybe make an "homage" using IR film.
It is in Lincoln Park itself, somewhere north of Fullerton Avenue judging from the negative strip. Unfortunately, this was more than 35 tears ago. Edit: The Elks HQ/memorial is correct; just checked it out online. Plus, the location on Lakeview north of Fullerton fits in perfectly with the order of the negatives and my remembered path. I just never knew what this building was!
