I am a little intrigued with this lens. If I make a significant M42 acquisition it may be this. I follow Vladimir Petrov on Flickr, and he is using exclusively the Practika MTL 5 with 35mm f2.4 Carl Zeiss MC Flektogon, shooting various B&W films in Europe (mainly in Bulgaria). What are thoughts overall? How does it perform closer to wide open? Looks good at f8. Nice shot.

I wanted to upload a couple more including the 50 and 135 lenses BUT Photrio said I had Reached My Limit. I have not had a chance yet to try all lenses at FULL APERTURE Except the 135mm and that was sharp at f3.5. I have soem more film to try out the MTL5 with shortly. I must FIND Comrade Petrov ( sounds a bit 'Russian' ! ) on Flickr
