Like native American smoke signals. Unusual formationand well taken. I keep my eyes peeled for such in the U.K. but here this kind of cloud formation is about as common as Apache smoke signals over Northamptonshire.
Used to see this in John Wayne films. You know the ones where he and the sargeant stand on the fort's inner balcony and the sargeant says: It's real quiet tonight, captain" and he replies: "Yeah, too quiet".
Something makes a high pitched swoosh through the air and all hell breaks loose. Or it that the Republican/Democrat conventions I am thinking of?
Hi pentaxuser! Thanks for the comments. It does look like smoke signals..I waited for the clouds to drift into position and they seemed to stay together. I had someone (not on APUG) accuse me of Photoshopping this image.
It could be worse. They might accuse you, as they would me, of being fixated with the J Wayne cavalry films. Photoshop indeed! When these natural clouds were in the J.W. films a photoshop was a place for film and cameras.
Mind you I was convinced that the bosoms of all the leading ladies were false. Early version of said P.S? They couldn't have been that size could they? Or maybe they were and that's why he was pepared to risk getting arrows through his hat!
