Fred, this is wonderful. The well aimed portrait of one engaged in what they love (or what they must do). It captures some of the nature of a person which the formal portrait usually can't do. At that point, I value the image regardless of other normal measure. You'll certainly be glad you got this - and no doubt your family as well. 'A little like some of the Col.'s fine shots.
This photograph, @macfred, speaks volumes all by itself. There is so much in here, an intimacy and admiration for a generation that is still setting the example and the high bar of humanity. Unspeakable, but by the personal contact, and i can imagine that Mia cherishes the time she has with her grandfather (Mia honoring tradition was a fabulous image, as well!). My vote would be for this as leader in the MSA. Superb submission! (hope you send me a hint for the next assignment before it becomes public!!)
