Out by the lighthouse pier the snow had been covered with blown sand and the footprints were unusually deep. It was a rather interesting sight

Excellent... mystery and clarity, all at the same time. What are those small white things sticking up in the upper left portion of the image? If I hadn't seen it in the smaller gallery section, by chance, would never know that you had uploaded it, as there is no mention on this months MSA site.
 
peter k: You know, I'm not sure what those things sticking up are. I zoomed way in on the negative, and I can't figure it out. Because the snow beneath the sand went through freeze and thaw cycles, maybe it expanded up through holes in the sand... just a guess.

I am not sure if you are supposed to load it here in the gallery or into the MSA thread... i think it gets seen better in the MSA thread.
