Picking apples, making beautiful prints ... that must have been a beautiful Sunday. The only thing missing is the smell of a fresh backed apple pie.

BTW: did you use Fabiano Artistico White or Extra White? This print is excellent, but sometimes I think the "White" version is a bit too warm/yellow. Especially for carbon printing.

The russet tree is the last of our apple trees to be picked. Made apple/oatmeal cake yesterday. Apple crumble, apple gingerbread, apple coleslaw, 100 pints of applesauce, a weekly batch of applesauce granola, bags and bags of dried apples. No apple pie - I can't make a decent pie crust - mostly because I stubbornly refuse to use white flour. Whole wheat pie crust tastes like cardboard.
I didn't even know there was a white and extra white version of Artistico. I bought what I could find in my small city.

Here the 'incorrect' low contrast works well, as do the uneven borders of the print. We see into this in an admirable way. - David
