Unfortunately APUG continues to silently resize images and that has detrimental effects on detail, sharpness, contrast, etcetc. This is a digital process used to display analog images and on-the-go uncontrolled conversions and resampling are lethal. There is a reason why Lanczos and other resizing-specific algorithms exist. Deviantart nearly went dead a couple of years ago when they did the same trick on folk's photos. It's just not on. APUG should stop doing these ad-hoc resizes... Either refuse the image or let it through, but NEVER resize on-the-fly! Looked at the deviant art version, and I can see it is superior. I looked at this when you posted it, and didn't realize it was for the MSA. Sorry I missed commenting then.

Not sure about all the technical stuff, but I know a good image when I see one and this is superlative!
