I like the out of focus background. I would have probably shot horizontal, & gotten closer, & lower, staying focused on the sandman. Just my 2-bits worth. Good photo.

Your photo to my eye is a good composition but I can't help but notice two scratches going across the sky portion. Both those and the white spot should have been spotted out before uploading your shot into the Critique Gallery at least to my mind.
