The composition is good, the sky is well rendered with the orange filter, but the photo is very flat and lacking in contrast. Perhaps it is down to the scanning of the print where the loss occurs?

I see there is lots more detail in the print then in the scanned image.

I agree with Tex. It seems like there should be more "pop" in this print. I have an inexpensive scanner, and my scans are all flat so I need to play with Photoshop to make the digi files look as good as the prints.
