"wants for wear" ? what does that mean ? would it be "weary on you" ? ...i find it quiet beautifully done ...thank you

I think dasblute is referring to the little dear trail that winds along the base of the cliff - overgrown, unworn....... I'm pretty sure English is not his native tongue, but he does much better in it than I manage in the smatterings of other languages I've got. Thanks to all of you. I've tried a few more today..... A little less frilling. Will post one or 2 when they dry.

not my native tongue, eh? balderdash! "wants for wear" means the trail is overgrown and could stand some footfall upon it, sure I'm a bit prosaic, but it's still English. Try Robert Frosts' "The Road Not Taken". --- In either case, I was complementing the photo

Sorry , my native tongue is Russian , so i am especially acute to the nuances of shades of grey in the spoken english ..

Humble apologies, dasBlute. If I'd looked at your profile, I'd have seen you were American. The unusual construction, and the fact that there is a wonderful international community on this site led to my assumption. Thank you for your appreciation, I got that with no assumptions getting in my way. And thank you again to Ilya, whose command of English should shame all of us who are unilingual.
