This is one of the best tinted photos I have seen. I have not heard of using food coloring. Is that a result of experimenting or did you see this done before. I have experimented with using heavy oil paint rather than the usual very thinned oil paint tinting.
Read about the tinting in a mag a few years ago I applied it to a damp print with cotton wool balls and cotton buds, very scientific! i don't know how permanent it will be so have scanned it at high res on flat bed. It prints well on the Epson. I tried to get the same results in Photoshop but it looked very garish and patchy, probably my lack of skill.
Very nice. The same effect can be acheived more archivally with watercolors. I particularly like Peerless watercolors for this kind of work, although photo oils can look quite similar and are much easier to use.
