Morning light on Jekyll

A long deserted stretch along the driftwood beach on Jekyll Island, the sun was getting up good and lit the trees with a striking warm glow.

I love this. The light and perspective reminds me of those Hudson River School landscape paintings, but the sense of ruin -- the massive hunks of driftwood, the exposed roots -- is very contemporary. I am not usually a big fan of landscape photography, but I find this image to be exceptional.
 
WOW is this cool or what? Such a painterly look and wonderful comp!
 
I love this. Will be interesting to see how the print works out! Hoping you don't have to wait too long for the chemicals.
