Very peaceful. It feels slightly tilted but that is probably an illusion and could add some tension to a quiet picture.

Thank you, Micalngelo, Michael, and JP. Yes, Michael, the pier makes the thing look a tiny bit off bubble, but the horizon is spot on.

I've passed that location probably a hundred times, and can't remember ever seeing it without at least one Mayport shrimper being docked. Looks very minimalist without them. Also nice shot into the sun - good glass and/or filter?

Thanks, Doug and Michael. Michael is right, I sank the shrimper earlier in the day. Anything for art!! Doug, the lens was the 80mm for the C220 with a deep yellow filter and a good lens shade....even so, there's just a hint of flare that I rather like.

Interestingly, Naval Station Mayport is just down the river from here....lots of warships and carriers, and a naval air station as well.

great work, wonderful feeling of light. as you say that little bit of flare add much atmosphere.
