Moose on the loose

I trust everyone realizes that this is not our "Mooseontheloose", but rather a moose that makes an annual spring appearance behind my house. This was taken with a 300 mm telephoto lens. One doesn't want to get too close, as she can get quite ornery (unlike, I'm sure, our "Mooseontheloose") and I worry about the safety of my fence. Especially since her buddy the bear ripped out a whole panel last fall.

If it's the moose I think it is, she comes around a few times a year to feed on the poplars, and she's actually pretty calm unless she has a young calf, in which case she charges if we meet her on a walk, but only long enough to put the run on me and my dogs. Scares the hell out of me and the mutts though. I took this picture from my back deck.
