Mooring Glory - Newtown IoW

This shot preceded "Newtown Dawn". Due to the long exposure, the moored white boat has rocked under wave action and I am unsure whether you feel this is detrimental to the image or not.

Light level was very low and so slow shutter was unavoidable.

I recognise that boat!

I think the movement in the boat is fine so long as it is in contrast to the rest of the scene being sharp.

Steve.

Beautiful colour and composition. Makes me want to be there. Personaly I like the blured boat. I think it ads to the overall mood of the image.

Thanks for this feedback. This was my gut feeling, but felt it best to canvas the aesthetic experts!

Yes I am sure you do know that boat Steve, and a few others there as well. The ferry journey across makes it an expensive excursion and an early one too. I had to catch the 0415 ferry to get there on time.....

Have an exhibition at Dimbola Lodge next spring and am keen to have some Isle of Wight images in it.
