@Trail Images I agree and the slight ovality of the moon indicates the need for a longish exposure as well, although at first sight the light conditions appear to need only a short exposure.
FYI: This is not a moon rise, this moon set was shot about 10:AM on the day after the full moon. We are seeing the early phases of the waning moon, rather than any elongation caused by the 1~2 second exposure.
