The moon was shot with a 400 mm lens & 1.4 converter @ f11 @ 100th they call this looney 11 and the city was shot with just the 400 mm lens Aperture priority mode.
always keep the moon in one corner of the frame so you know where it's at on your 2nd shot

Tim I used to shoot moon's myself and then double expose the film on other subjects later. I have 2 examples in the back pages of my photos.
As to your photo IMO the moon is too large and slightly underexposed. I shot the moon with a 200mm lens and my exposure was for "cloudy bright".
I still think that your photo is good but I think that you could improve upon it.
