Montana Autumn 2007

Montana Autumn 2007

A brilliant morning in September with Eric Rose. Absolutely no wind and SO quiet. A magical 45 minutes until the skies opened up with steady, pre-winter rain. Critique commentary welcome.

Very nice picture & good composition! Was this shot on a cloudy day? That's where Velvia exceeds!

Regards.

Alan.

Teasel321: Yes, it was very overcast (hooray!), but the downside was that the clouds opened up about 45 minutes into the shoot (and dumped copious amounts of cold, pre-winter rain on us). Oh well, one must take the opportunities and breaks in weather as they come... Thanks for the feedback.

Wayne, congrats for taking your 4x5 Cambo out into the field. That can make photography an aerobic sport. The photo is wonderful. Crisp and clean in detail and the light on the trees was perfect. Nice shot. I would suggest cropping off the bottom 1/5th. You have two groupings of rocks. Lose the lower ones and the grass. It detracts from what is a really nice photo. Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestions... I'll try the suggested crop...
