Beautiful light and composition. I fimd the jagged backdrop (sky/treeline?) a very effective counterpoint to the rounded elements of the head and shoulders and adds some tension and power to the portrait. Great!

(I know it ain't a critique gallery, but I can't stop myself from saying that either going slightly closer in or slowly further out would have been a bit more effective where the arms are concerned. Slap me if I'm out of line!)

Your not out of line Cheryl, everyone is intitled to there opinion, and in my opinion the composition is perfect! Don't change a thing Schlapp, this is a wonderful and very strong portrait.
