Misty River

The Grand River, fall mist.

I need to dodge and burn this one a bit as I want to darken the far misty trees a bit but lighten the ones on the right which are lost in the shadows.

Now thinking I might want to re-crop it a bit too... always a work in progress it seems.

Thanks. Will post it of course. Also keep thinking about toning this one which could also lighten it up a bit for me in the bleach. Will see.

Why were you rating your film at 1600? The day looks bright enough to be captured at 400 asa. There is a scene quite similiar just up the road from me, although the river would not be as wide.

Yes, you're right. I could have shot this at 100 or 400 hand held quite easily.

Perhaps I should have put this in the experimental gallery, I was trying out Delta 400 at 1600 since I often want to shoot in low light, fast shutter or narrow apertures so I've been trying the Delta 3200 which is quite grainy. I'm finding the Delta 400 at 1600 to be less grainy than Delta 3200 but it appears that the range is not as good pushed two stops as is the 3200. The contrast seems good.

Beautiful! I like the contrast and grain.
