Mist in the morning

Aah, steaming piles of manure...great smell indeed. Interesting that mist is German for manure...will make my morning walks in the "mist" take on a new meaning!

I love the smell of cow manure in the morning. Nothing in the world smells like it. That cow manure smell. The whole hill. It smelled like... VICTORY!

You have made what some of my workdays consisted of look attractive! Retirement allows for smaller piles. ;-p (The mist makes it!!)

Two things occur to me regarding your photo. I feel that you have included too much foreground at the expense of the sky. I wonder should you have use a grad filter to maintain more colour and detail in the sky. You have a nice shot here even if you don't agree with my opinion.

Vincent, you are right - using a grad filter and including more sky would have been better. But this was only a quick shot done on my way to work with my Rollei 35 S, which I have constantly with me. However you remind me that I should buy a grad filter for my 4x5 and 6x7 Linhofs (and have one of these cameras too at least in my car on more occasions)!
