Mission Gate 1

Mission Gate 1

So, Mission San Miguel is a very large compound. Definitely underrated in terms of fame, this Mission has a huge yard with mud brick walls. The gates themselves would have long ago deteriorated to be sure, the wood on this gate is probably at most 100 years old, the gate column of red brick is probably no more than 50 years old, but the mud brick wall on the left side, that is original. That makes it probably over 250 years old. Not bad for dirt and the saturation level of 30 to 40 El Niño seasons.
