Very nice shot. Love the red aura under the sun and the light playing off the top of the sand waves.

The centered shot in square format lends a sense of calm solidity. The eyes don't need to be pushed all around the scene from this detail to that, but can enjoy discovering them at leisure.

Thank you very much everyone for the support and positive feedback. After a hiatus from shooting for a while it seems my focus/direction has changed considerably and it's always nice to know that you haven't gone completely off track when making big changes.

I've come back to this several times now, and I honestly don't think that much about the composition. What I love is the mood and feel this provokes. I just love looking at it. So calming and soothing, with beautiful colors. Well done!

Thank you Thomas. Mood is what I seem to be chasing more lately rather than actual subjects or particular compositions. Being the critique forum and all, how would you approach this composition wise? I'm always interested to hear how others would approach similar situations in comparison to my own perspective
