Beautiful photograph, brings back good memories, I have friends that live several miles from the park. Your vantage point is good for eliminating the sky as when shooting from down in the creek bed. The water is recorded very well, I enjoy the "look" of the water surface. Lots of good photo ops. by walking downstream as well, really a gorgeous area. Thanks, Dan
Thanks for looking Steve and Dan. It is a great place to photograph and just hang out. I wish I could have had more time there. Last day of a 2 day road trip, and I only got to spend a couple hours. I will be back for sure.
Since you were kind enough to comment on my work
I like the composition of this shot a lot and the lighting adds a lot to it.
Getting a 4x5 into a position to TAKE must have been pretty interesting too.
I also like the tones in the photograph , I wonder if a sepia tone would be in keeping with the subject - or maybe it would just look tacky.
Thanks for looking Chris. I do have a couple digital shots of this in sepia on another web site. PM me if you would like the link.
It was a little interesting climbing out on the rocks to take the shot. I had to make 2 trips to get all the gear in place.
