Taken on the outing noted in the SE US forum thread, during the last fading light of the day. I had to position the camera as far up as the tripod would allow to get any perspective on the falls. The waterfall can be accessed from the Hickey Gap campground off of Mill Creek Road. I'll probably make an 11x14 print when I get down to a printing session.
I really like this shot. It's been kind of a hard day and this pic gives me a sense of rest. It shows motion but not at the expense appreciating the moment. Thanks.
The patch of light in the upper center really makes the picture, and gives it enough contrast.
Was that the last last rays of light, or some dodging.
Photographing cascades in N. Georgia is extremely hard to do right, and it is sure hard to get light to cooperate in those hollows! I have almost given up. Looks like you are making it happen!
