Mikkatsuki Falls

Mikkatsuki Falls

Since the below freezing temps are keeping me from doing any darkroom work other than film developing,I am keeping myself amused by scanning some color shots I did last year.

This is one of my three favorite waterfalls in all Japan, this is Mikkatsuki Falls in Fukushima. Its not a very large waterfall only about 4 meters in height, but the shape and shooting locations make it interesting. Sadly on this visit the water level was lower than normal.

Thanks for looking, any and all coments are greatly welcome.

I really like the shape and transparency of the water, revealing the rocks behind. Very nice.

wow, this is really cool!
i used to go to an asian restaurant years ago
and it had a backlit image of a waterfall that had some
sort of wheel that moved behind it.
it gave the illusion that the water was moving ...
somehow you were able to make this same illusion
without that wheel-thingy.

thanks!

Very nice. I agree with other two. The transparency of the water makes the image for me.

I love the fan effect of the waterfall, it is very beautiful.
