Nice -- brings back good memories, My Faire Spouse and I stayed at the Glen Iris Inn for a few days last year. There's an amazing railroad bridge within walking distance there too.

There's something added by the people there beyond scale. You have somebody(s) facing, taking in, being overwhelmed by, and by implication, reacting to the grandeur. Other than that, its a screaming fine & spectacular pc of landscape work.
