Middle End, Teesdale

Hi Graham, I'm pretty sure that this is not Middle End Farm

I was born and raised in Teesdale and went to school with one of the girls from Middle End.

I could never understand where they got the name from - Middle End of what?

Middle Ends' location always reminded me of a line from the original Star Wars - when asked where they were, Luke Skywalker said "If there is a centre of the universe, them this is the the furthest place from it"

Its a Raby Farm (white washed building) so its definately on the Durham (north) side of the Tees

Had a double check of my ordance survay map, and its definitely called Middle End Farm. Your right it is a Raby estate farm, and it at the top of Eggleston Burn just off the Stanhope Rd near the Great Eggleston Bridge. Not sure but there could be more then one Middle End? Sorry for any confusion
