Local establishment irritant and all round superb human being--Micky.
Part of an ongoing 'Beard' project that is exploring the paradigm of commitment and the limitations that long term commitments places on identity--how we are known. I remain fascinated at that inter-play between the two in those that can withstand the numerous changes in fashion/appearance. There is no shortage of beards in Asheville.
Zounds! Looks like a portrait right out of the pantheon of 19th C. British bards.
Only the poly jacket gives it away. Wonderful retro look. Wonderful retro guy.
Always enjoy your portraits, Monty. This is no exception. Plus, he looks like an older version of me with my bald head and winter beard! The pose and stare appear very "real" to me. Not sure how you manage that with your cumbersome equipment.... Nice work! Shawn
Money, this is one of my favorite portraits of yours. Very communicative. Strong expression. Some day I'll have to sneak a peak at the real prints...
