'Michael' the crab

'Michael' the crab

A hot summers day a couple of years ago. Me and Stef took a walk along the coast. We stopped at 'mystery bay', one of several secluded little inlets near Jack Scout and decided to do some 'crabbing'. Stef, after looking under countless stones, found this specimen and for reasons known only to himself, decided to call it 'Michael'.

Nicely seen and captured. I like the intensity of Stef's look and the evident fascination, a wonderful moment. Good job with light and development, tonality is very nice in the print. Although not in the critique gallery, I think I would like it better with the top of the head cropped off completely, with just a bit of the neck showing and the ear. I think it would balance the chop at the knee, but it is a very well done shot. tim
