Photo of Mexican Wolf taken in the Bronx Zoo in 1998 with the Leica f5.6 800mm Modular Apo Telyt lens on loan from Leica Camera USA. I wanted to check the lens in a "captive" setting prior to the return of the lens to Leica. Image difficult to take due to shooting through blind openings and the size of the lens front element. Mexican Wolves subsequently released into the wild. Special thanks to Leica Camera USA.
Thanks for the very kind words. The wolf does look very much like a big furry dog, and some have commented so on numerous occassions.
I will say that it is very disappointing and disheartening that most interest here at APUG is in B&W with so little interest in color landscape, nature, and particularly in wildlife. So much interest in anything B&W particularly people including children with a particular emphasis on women primarily nude. Rich
Nice wolf Rich. You might ask for better access @ the zoo to get beyond the fences. Most zoos accomodate but I dont know about the predator areas.
I think most work here is bw becasue almost everyone prints color digitally, no? I only know a handful of people printing color by hand where many still do bw prints by hand.
Female nudes are as common as landscapes and equally as hard to do well, although being nudes they grab instant attention for people. Sex sells.
