Very nice light and exposure seems perfect for the scene, can just see a bit of detail in the dark shadows which I really like. Is this printed or a negative scan...no matter just curious, love the dark black, and not sure if the sheet could be a little more white or not.
I really like this scene but have one comment. I agree with the first comment regarding the whiteness of the sheet---it is exactly what I was thinking as I studied the photograph. I was thinking that it is very bright outside, but where is that spillage of light that should be coming into the room and hitting the bed? Was it intentionlly printed down?
Very nice, the placement of the lighter, bundled sheets really contrasts nicely with the hard edges of the bed table and window.. and well done with the exposure and printing.
Thanks all for your comments. It was normal developed and it's a recent silver print, scanned. I placed zone VIII in the wall back of the window, so the sheet (it was a cream colored sheet, not white) fall in zone V, maybe IV, I don't remember with precision (I made this shot in 1992). I tried to print with higher contrast but I loose the detail in the background. What I did in this print is to dodge the sheet a little bit, but maybe it need more dodging, until it renders in higher key without loosing texture.
