The level of disorganization here would win no prizes - nor does it need to. This is a familiar sight among mechanical and automotive shops in Malaysia and similar countries within South-East Asia. Multiple engines sitting in partial disassembly inside and outside the shop, along with a queue of parts waiting to be discarded or reused, makes for a lesson in shop-owner patience.
One of the notable differences between mechanics here and, for example, the United States, is the importance of versatility rather than specialization (which also goes further than just mechanics). Being that so many people own small motorcycles and scooters as their primary source of transportation, combined with the average automobile and sub-par maintenance as a rule, rather than the exception - and one has a steady stream of hard work in front of them. Given just a modicum of familiarity - no job is too difficult.
