The reason I like your street shots is that most, if not all, produce a "I wonder what is happening here?" question. All look broadly pensive but in different ways .The older guy has almost a High Noon" look when staring at an unknown person slightly to one side. The young lad has that "interested spectator" look, perhaps weighing up who will be faster of the two "on the draw". 🙂 The girl next to him has that wistful look, perhaps remembering last night's "date" or a lost love whom she remembers fondly but has managed to get over him and the nearest girl looks close to tears. Is she alone and friendless in the big city?

The whole scene is like that closing line in the Naked City There are 10 million stories and this has been four of them. Little or none of the above might I have spotted had I been there just walking past but time to look at a b&W photo conjures up such thoughts.

Thanks for that

The Naked City was named after Weegee's book? I love the film. Thanks for your complimentary comments pentaxuser. The MayDay march was immediately to my right and it was very noisy and busy. On marches and demos I invariably focus on the sidewalks. You never know what will turn up.
