Me at the wheel

There's another image in the gallery of someone with a spinning wheel, which reminded me of this self-portrait I took 10 years ago...also a nice throwback since today is also my birthday. Put the camera on the table, set the timer, and ran to get myself into position and the wheel spinning.

@bsdunek Thanks! I've never spun a Great wheel, even though we had one in Second House (this photo was shot in First House). Black Creek is a living history museum set in the 1860s, which is why I'm in period clothing with a part down the centre of my hair (the style at the time). I used to carry my Autocord (and sometimes my Nikon FE) in my basket so I could take photos when the light was good and visitors weren't around.

This is a very moving self portrait. It drew me back a second time because the image stayed in my head and once hear I thought I would share that I was moved to return to gaze again, and again.

@daleeman Thanks. I very rarely do any kind of self-portrait but I like this one, partly because this was my favourite place to work, and everything in the photo reminds me of that.
