McDougall Memorial United Church

This church stood for 140 years between Calgary and Canmore, AB. Some jackass burned it down in 2017. It was a favourite place for people that lived close by and tourists. Unfortunately this poor negative looks like it lived on my DR floor for a few years.

Very nice and an image that brought back memories. On a trip to Alberta twenty (+) years ago driving from Banff to Calgary I pulled off to the side of the road and photographed the same church from a slightly different angle on TMax 120. It was overcast so I missed out on dramatic clouds. After seeing your photograph I had to go searching through my negatives to be sure it was the same church. It was a great trip yielding a number of good photographs. I also had the pleasure of meeting and befriending Craig Richards a really outstanding photographer from Canmore. Thanks for the memory.

That sky is dizzyingly beautiful and you caught it perfectly - excellent accompaniment to the fence and church.

Shame about those damn jackasses....

Great, composition, tones and contrast
