I took the morning to myself yesterday and did some exploring at McConnells Mills state park. This is from a section of ledges along the gorge that I haven't spent enough time in...

Very cool, Shawn! It's funny, because I get the feeling, viewing the photograph, that there's a telephoto type of compression going on, and then I see it's wide angle. Fooled me, that's for sure! It's a very nicely weighed composition! And... I enjoy these little contact prints a lot. Sometimes less is more.

Thanks fellow! Thomas, it's been years since I've owned a wide angle lens and using the new to me 50mm to force objects into new visual relationships (much like a longer lens) has been quite exciting. Thanks for noticing! Shawn

Great tones Shawn, the scale is deceiving to the eye which makes you study it harder. My compliments!

Thanks, Erik. Bethe. Let me know when you go. I can recommend some spots and my favorite Brewery isn't far away(I think I remember you liking dark beer...) All the best. Shawn

a very interesting landscape. your composition is perfect, it really keeps your eye in the frame.
