Scan from print. I have a nasty habit of rotating my negatives when putting them in the enlarger, hence the difference from the negative scan.

Also, learning to print soft is...hard. Pun partially intended.

Thank you! I think it works best if the image is pretty low-key, and I expose them for approx. 1/3 step longer than the test strip indicates. I then bleach them as far as I can and redevelop them for even longer. High-key images gets a non-attractive tone with this method, as least during my last few attempts.
