Loath as I am to offer a critique to someone who produces such great photographs I find this shot very 'busy' and cannot see a point that grabs my attention.
I do want to see more of what's further to the right hand side but the wall and bricks make my eye wander.

Hope that makes sense.

Cheers ; Chris

To me, this is a very quite picture that shows the range of tones stones can have. Matera is "a wall", seperated by many stairways (you feel it every night after walking around..).
Thanks for your comment,
Thomas

Nice study in shape and texture, Thomas! I enjoy this a lot. Geometry at its best! Looks like you could get a really nice print from this!

Thomas,
At first I thought it was busy, looking at it for a while I begain to see things that I really didn't see at first and then I started to feel the business disappear. now I look and see a picture like a jazz group where each component plays separately, but comes together as a whole. I feel the picture does the samething.
If that makes sense to you.
regards
