I like the composition and selective focus, but I'd print it with more contrast than you have here.

Lately I'm finding that soft works best when it's in tension with hard, so a soft lens with hard light or short DOF as in this image with more contrast.

Like the crop and selective focus but agree with David about more contrast. Also would look better I feel, if her face were lightened and the background was darkened a little..... pull you into the eyes a little more.
