I had to come back to see this again. Great job! The thumbnail is completely confusing - one can tell there is flesh in the picture but cannot make out any recognizable form. The full size photo is a unique angle for a figure study, made all the more intriguing by the use of wide angle. At first it looked like a "buns up" pose and that the body parts nearest the lens were the butt and legs. But the photo made me look closer (or more carefully) to "see" what was really going on with the pose. So it has a REAL reality and an imagined reality. I really like this! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Joe. Yes it plays tricks with my eyes as well. It is something I discovered in the camera, not something I dreamed up before hand.

Love the composition, it flows well.

Am distracted slightly by the material the model is on and the single head hair in the top left.

My first thoughts were of Bill Brandt. You've used the perspective of a wide angle lens in a way that doesn't make the body look distorted, at least in a strange way. Instead, it imparts the feeling of simply being very close. I love the way the bit of hair on her forearm almost flows into the rest of the picture space and the fabric, which I like, has a similar affect. The one loose curl really adds to the whole by echoing some of the other curves moving back. Nice work.

Great work Dennis... notice the hair before I read the Vince comment, it's in the foreground, due to the strong fast prespective it's the closest thing to the viewer.

Looks like an inch worm! My favorite part of this image is the composition of values.

Put me in mind of Bill Brandt as well, I just posted a shot taken from a similar POV but including the model's face, it is quite different in mood because of including the face.

Beautifully printed! Gorgeous shapes that trick the light. Such wonderful texture and glow to the skin as well. Very well done!
(I thought for a while that it was somebody with a stretched out torso pointing away from the camera with their derriere pointing into the sky, but soon thought the better of it  )
